Spiderman Home - Coming Trailer Analysis

At the beginning of this trailer, its starts of really effective by using different camera shots to show the settings, this gave the audience an over -view on where it was based and what sort of city this film is going to be involved in filming. There are many different angles and viewpoints that we see at the beginning but as it the editing is so fast paced there is not a lot that you can see, for example you are able to have a quick glance at where it is but at the same time you are unable to clearly see exactly where it is, what types of buildings are there etc.. 

The way that the beginning of the trailer is edited is very effective, this is because after it has shown one clip it shows  a black screen and then moves onto the next clip really quickly, this is effective because it shows the audience that they are not all at the same point and so many different things are happening it may make the audience think that this film is going to have so much  going on and so many different significant points throughout they have to watch the full film to find out.

At 0:15, a lot of people would expect it to start as soon as possible all of the action type of scene which includes fights and guns, however it starts off really chilled with him saying 'hey guys you alright' and then they turn round looking so confused and then out of nowhere the fights start and it gets to the very typical action type of drama. This shows that the whole film is not going to be serious and there are going to be some funny parts throughout and if people find the trailer funny then that is going to make them want to watch the film even more. 

A little bit more into the trailer - the marvel studio production company is shown in bright red on the screen, the same as guardians of the galaxy. This is good because it shows that it is made my a very successful and high end company and therefore should be a successful film. Also, another reason that somebody may want to watch the film apart from the obvious reasons of liking superhero films, may be that they want to compare it to the other films that marvel have made, or also may want to compare to DC and see the differences and similarities. 

Half way through the trailer we notice him and his friend at school dazing into the distance and staring at a beautiful young girl, this could indicate and give some hints that there is also going to be a romance involved and this could make things difficult or easier with the superhero work he does. This will make the audience question on how a relationship would work and then this may persuade them to go watch the film to find out answers.

'Spider man' is a very young boy, which may make the audience wonder if he will make a lot of mistakes while working, this is because young people are known to be clumsy as they are still learning at all different skills in life, this may also be another comedy part of the film as him getting things wrong and then having to over come the obstacles.

At the end of the film, we are shown many different scenes which are fast paced editing along with them speaking in a different conversation over the top. This is effective as we get so much information and suprises at once it is over whelming and therefore the audience would have so many different questions about it, about what is going on and then in the end just go and watch the film so they can put there mind at rest.
