Gravity Trailer Analysis
Gravity is a sci-fi film. The first part of this trailer displays plain white text on a pain black background with no music in the background, this makes the audience focus on the writing as they have to read information instead of the usual of being given it straight away. Therefore this is more on the educational side as they have to use there brain while figuring out what things mean and instead of being able to seen it they are able to imagine it instead. There is no music in the background to distract them therefore the producers are trying to get them to put all of their focus on the text. Out of nowhere there is a sudden sound and everything goes extremely dramatic in matter of seconds and contrasts majorly at the beginning of the trailer with no sound or movement. In a way this could be the producers moving the audience into the surroundings and settings so therefore they feel apart of the film. As the scene may make the audience feel like they are falling. Logan Trailer Analysis
Right at the start of the trailer there is country music being played. This could tell us that the film Logan is filmed out in the country/desert. At the very start we see the word 'Marvel' pop up. This tells us that it is part of the X men franchise. This is a unique selling point by having this included right at the very start because if people have been to see Marvel films before and enjoyed them, they are more than likely going to go and see this film. We immediately see a close up of a mans hand and arm. The hand is covered with blood. This could be a genre indicator, indicating that t is an action film. This is when we are first introduced to one of the main characters, this character is Logan. The trailer then cuts to a close up of Logan's face. The hand that was shown was probably Logan's hand at the start as well.. Throughout this scene there is a voice over being played over the music.
