Gravity is a sci-fi film. The first part of this trailer displays plain white text on a pain black background with no music in the background, this makes the audience focus on the writing as they have to read information instead of the usual of being given it straight away. Therefore this is more on the educational side as they have to use there brain while figuring out what things mean and instead of being able to seen it they are able to imagine it instead. There is no music in the background to distract them therefore the producers are trying to get them to put all of their focus on the text. Out of nowhere there is a sudden sound and everything goes extremely dramatic in matter of seconds and contrasts majorly at the beginning of the trailer with no sound or movement. In a way this could be the producers moving the audience into the surroundings and settings so therefore they feel apart of the film. As the scene may make the audience feel like they are falling. At the beginning of this trailer, its starts of really effective by using different camera shots to show the settings, this gave the audience an over -view on where it was based and what sort of city this film is going to be involved in filming. There are many different angles and viewpoints that we see at the beginning but as it the editing is so fast paced there is not a lot that you can see, for example you are able to have a quick glance at where it is but at the same time you are unable to clearly see exactly where it is, what types of buildings are there etc..  The way that the beginning of the trailer is edited is very effective, this is because after it has shown one clip it shows  a black screen and then moves onto the next clip really quickly, this is effective because it shows the audience that they are not all at the same point and so many different things are happening it may make the audience think that this film is going to have so much  going on and so many dif

Guardians of the galaxy is a sci-fi film. The beginning of the trailer starts of with dramatic loud music, a lot of trailers start of with slow calming music to begin with but this sets the scene extremely quickly and the music represents the type of film that it is going to be as the music that is played in the background is the type that is stereo typically shown within sci fi films.  The audience are shown the setting at the beginning of the trailer, this might be to show them a quick over view of what the film is going to be like without actually giving too much away. This scene shows a massive room with the light beaming off either side, this will make the audience wonder where he is and how this is going to be significant throughout the film.  The different camera shots are effective at this part because it gives the audience a really insight on where he is and the different unusual things that are around him. San Andreas is an action film about a earthquake that occurs in California. The first thing that we are shown at the beginning of the trailer is the production company, this is very effective to put it at the beginning of the trailer because it lets the audience know who has produced the film, and if it is a good type of production company this might make the audience want to watch it because they love the films that the company makes. The music at the beginning of the film is very slow and calming, this is because it is at the beginning and therefore they don't want  the audience to be bombarded with all the good dramatic scenes at the very beginning as they want to make them wait a little longer and wait until half way through the trailer for things to become more tense and action packed. At the very start of the trailer we are introduced to two boys. It is a medium shot of the boys sitting on a grass verge. We can tell straight away that they will be two of the many main characters in the film. It then fades to black introducing the two boys names and cuts to a long shot of the boys on the grass together. Instantly we know that these two boys have a good friendship. Throughout this scene there is up beat music played throughout. This could represent the boys friendship. But then the trailer fades to black again with it saying 'family was hard'. This could be bringing out the emotional side of the film which makes us want to connect with Romeo even more. The trailer then moves onto a scene where Romeo gives the chips to his mum. When we are introduced to her, she is seen shouting at Romeo. This links back to the text where it said family was hard. We instantly think that Romeo may have a hard life and his mum is not a very understanding or happy person. This

We instantly know that The Conjuring is a horror film. This is because right at the start of the trailer we are introduced to two of main characters trying to communicate with the supernatural. It then cuts to a shot of someone holding at ticket which says 'Seekers of the supernatural - Ed and Lorraine Warren' . This is another genre indicator that it is a horror film. It also tells us the names of the two main characters who try to interact with the supernatural. The trailer then fades to black and tells us that this film is based on a true story. It then starts to show us a load of pictures that have been taken at the scenes that have investigated. There is also text to go along with them which says that they have never shown this one case because it is so disturbing. This is referring to The Conjuring. Up until the point Ed and Lorraine are introduced to a woman who needs their help, the music is quite up beat. But as soon as the woman starts telling them that something

Right at the start of the trailer there is country music being played. This could tell us that the film Logan is filmed out in the country/desert. At the very start we see the word 'Marvel' pop up. This tells us that it is part of the X men franchise. This is a unique selling point by having this included right at the very start because if people have been to see Marvel films before and enjoyed them, they are more than likely going to go and see this film.  We immediately see a close up of a mans hand and arm. The hand is covered with blood. This could be a genre indicator, indicating that t is an action film. This is when we are first introduced to one of the main characters, this character is Logan. The trailer then cuts to a close up of Logan's face. The hand that was shown was probably Logan's hand at the start as well.. Throughout this scene there is a voice over being played over the music. It gives us a little insight as to what may be included in the film. 

Right at the start of the trailer the exposition was revealed. We see that the film is based in New York, the main character has a girlfriend and that he is interested in music. We then later find out that he is in the best music school of the country. This makes us think that he is a very good musician and he is following his passion.  The development of the trailer is then revealed. There is a sudden appearance of jazz music which signifies the change between the exposition to the development.. This is when we find out that he doesn't think he is good enough to become a great musician. He then decides that he should break up with his girlfriend to focus on his music so he can become the best.  Yet again the jazz music signifies the change from development to complication. This is when we see his teacher becomes violent towards him. It is first shown when he throws a symbol at him for rushing the part of music he was playing and then in the next scene we see the teacher slap h

Jaws is a horror film however a there was a lot of arguments and rivalry for it to be a classic film because the audience did not think that it was right to be in the category of horror. At the beginning of the trailer, the first thing that we see is a shot of the water with music in the background becoming louder and deeper and faster, this is because it is wanting to attract the audience straight away and draw there attention in and in this way they are thinking that the people watching aren't going to want to take there eyes off the screen as something may happen really quickly and they don't want to miss it. The narrator talking over the top of the scene is effective because it shows that the audience is getting to see and hear the information and they can put two and two together, this is also effective because it means that they don't have to imagine what is going on if the scene was focused on just a man talking and they actually are able to see the settin

Little miss sunshine is a comedy film. At the beginning of the trailer, we are shown the production title which is fox, this is one of the first things shown because it may attract the audience as they know that this production company is very popular and makes very successful films. The music in the background is what the audience would expect when watching these types of film, it isn't too slow but then on the other hand its also not too upbeat and fast to flow with the scenes and therefore it is perfect for the way that the trailer is moving. This is effective for the audience because it will give them an insight on what type of pace the film is going to be and what type of mood it is going to set. After the scene of the man and the boy talking, it fades out to add information about the film and the characters and producers, this is effective because it does this every so often throughout the film so it doesn't happen all in one go and its also not too quick so people
